Report Fraud

Every year corrupt organizationscheat the federal government out of billions of taxpayers' dollars. The United States General Accounting Office estimates that medical fraud and abuse alone approaches $100 billion dollars.

Health care providers and pharmaceutical companies who defraud Medicare and Medicaid are just part of the story. Fraudulent practices involve contractors and vendors for many other government agencies, including Defense, NASA, Health and Human Services, Environment, Energy and Education.

We at Reporting-Ethics have created this page as a resource to educate our audiences. They can then use it to consult on what are the appropriate actions to take when reporting fraud and how to avoid getting mixed up in a abusive trust schemes.

By our audiences consulting with our media system, we anticipate it will be heard by a much larger audience. It is something in which it will be heard at work, on their commute and/or on their own time. This way they can listen to it at their leisure and learn from others mistakes and successes.

Of this, if the impact is able to make a different of just one percent of our audience, then it as a success. But. we at Reporting-Ethics think our system will have a much bigger effect.

To the right of this column are some articles posted. These are all from recent media sources. There purpose is to give the visitors to back up the topics.

BENEFITS OF REPORTING FRAUD

There are countless benefits of reporting the different cases of fraud. Some of these are gaining monetary rewards, increasing job security, possible promotions and many more.

A law called the False Claims Act, and the Qui Tam provision under that Act, makes it possible for those who suspect fraud to report it and, upon successful prosecution, to receive a substantial financial reward. In addition, the Whistle blower provision of the False Claims Act offers protection to those who report fraud.

By visiting this page, an individual can locate the different links to where they can report any particular crime. It is set up so any reporting can be done in the comfort of their own home. This way nobody else needs to know who made the reports. In the process this would prove to be especially beneficial when it is a fellow employee, an employer and/or manager who is involved.

NOTE: At Reporting-Ethics, we want to stress a caution on blowing the whistle on fellow employees and/or management. Because in the process you might be costing your employer money and/or setting them up for additional headaches. The best thing might be to do is go above their heads and inform their problems. If you are correct or incorrect, then you will keep your job.

By trying to be the company hero and clean up the wrong doings, the whistle-blower might be the one who gets the boot and/or is relocated. This might sound counter productive, but it is the way the bureaucracy operates. Everyone else, including management might also be one paycheck away from being out on the street.

The following are just some of the links available for reporting different cases of fraud and other crimes. The nice part about it, these reports can be made at the convenience of your own PC at your home. As this site picks up steam, more will be able to added to this service.
